Very fun and memorable family experience! Definitely worth the price all the activities offered in the fall!
We enjoyed the day with the 4 kids ages 2 to 11.. the only problem we had was it wasn't handicap friendly, or stroller for that matter. The gravel made it difficult to maneuver my dads wheelchair and my granddaughters stroller. I witnessed other handicapped persons also having trouble. Dad had to struggle to get out and walk several times when the wheels got stuck.
Great time for the family. Staff is helpful and friendly. Prices are reasonable. We will be back every year.
First off I'm only giving one star because the staff was friendly. We drove over 45 minutes to get there because of wonderful reviews. Did we miss something ?? There are cute decorations throughout the property upon entering and walking through the activity areas. The main barn that you enter through is a shop with things you can purchase. The cost is $10 a person to enter the activity area. For this price I thought we would have a great time. We visited them on a Sunday and the place was a dead zone. Absolutely nothing going on, and a handful of people coming and going. No demonstrations in the activity barns, spider webs in the corn hull area for small children. To be honest with you, it really felt like we had arrived after hours. There was no interaction with anyone. No train to the pumpkin patch, no face painting, but there was a wagon ride that picked you up every hour on the hour for a 30 minute ride around the property. The best way I can describe it would be like a City park playground where you just do your thing (alone). There was absolutely no activities going on at all. The so called petting animal area consisted of walking in between fences in the field. Several horses that were out grazing and never came to the fence, one pig, couple of sheep that ignored us, and several llamas that ignored us also. The Cafe area is nice, they have a vendor wagon and picnic tables in an area all cemented, however it is in full sun. No canopy or anything. I am still trying to understand what we missed here. We were really disappointed. Maybe the activities don't apply to Sunday's ? Will we be back ? I doubt it.
I have to say I have read some of the reviews posted and I don't understand. We have been to the farm every year since it opened and will continue to go for many years. The people are friendly and so helpful. There are things for people of all ages to do. There are games to play, animals to see , hay rides, you can go out and pick your own pumpkins or get one that has been picked already, a very cool discovery barn, pumpkin bowling, gourd golf , peddle cars, kids construction zone and much more. They also have some great food on the weekends (we have only been there on weekends) and snacks. We love it and will keep going!!!! Thanks Nickajack for all the great years.
